Empowering Communities: A Research Initiative

Image
Our Community-Based Research (CBR) project aimed to explore and address a specific issue in our community. Through this research, we sought to gain a deeper understanding of the concerns and needs of our community members. By working closely with our Community Monitor and stakeholders, we hoped to contribute to the development of effective solutions and promote positive change. This photo shows us voting on our Community-Based Research (CBR) topic. We were choosing which specific area to focus on within the category assigned to us for this CBR project. After voting on our Community-Based Research (CBR) topic, we choose the topic with the most votes. Then, we planned and assigned tasks to each group member.  In the second photo, our team members are encoding the data they collected. This is an essential part of our study to ensure that our information is accurate and complete. In the third photo, our team members are interviewing community members. This is a crucial part o...

From Community Insights to CSS Mastery: My Journey of Growth

Image
This quarter, I learned about Community-Based Research (CBR) and how to design our research using CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). CBR taught me that involving the community in research helps make the results more useful and meaningful to them.   One challenge I faced was designing our research document using CSS. Since I didn’t know much about CSS, it was hard to make the layout clean and well-organized. I had trouble with aligning text, choosing font styles, and keeping the format consistent.  To overcome this, I watched tutorials, practiced with simple designs, and asked for help from classmates. These efforts helped me improve my design skills little by little.  Moving forward, I will keep learning CSS to make better research designs. I will also make sure to involve the community in future research to make it more valuable and helpful.
